Kate Brown

Pharmacy Manager

Primary Clinic: Salinas

With an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix, Kate Brown enjoys working with numbers. She says that her role as Inventory/Pharmacy Manager at both Steinbeck Peninsula Equine Clinics and Steinbeck Country Small Animal Clinic “checks a lot of boxes” for her.

Kate was born and raised in Salinas. In addition to her husband and two spectacular kiddos, Kate’s family currently includes dogs, cats, and a rabbit. She loves to rescue, rehabilitate, and foster animals. And Kate reports that she has recently started taking Western horseback riding lessons and is loving it!

Kate also keeps busy as a mountain biking (MTB) enthusiast, coach, and mentor: She’s a certified NICA coach (the National Interscholastic Cycling Association is a non-profit organization promoting youth mountain biking programs), and a Salinas Little Bellas Mentor Lead (Little Bellas is a non-competitive program that encourages girls 7-18 years old to find a sense of empowerment and self-confidence by conquering obstacles and mastering a skill — mountain biking — through its events, camps, and mentoring programs). She also enjoys weekend 4x4 and lake trips, attempting to wake surf, reading (particularly true crime), and crafting with her mom.
