Jenny Hamilton

Jenny Hamilton grew up in San Francisco’s East Bay area and is now enjoying being back “home.” Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Jenny rode racehorses for many years, all around the U.S. and in New Zealand, as well as riding professionally at hunter-jumper and dressage barns.

In addition to graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) and achieving a Masters degree in teaching from Loyola Baltimore, she attended farrier school, and earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Virginia Tech.

Prior to joining Steinbeck Peninsula Equine Clinics, Dr. Hamilton worked as an equine veterinarian at a large thoroughbred breeding farm in Maryland, for the New York Racing Association (NYRA) at the Saratoga and Belmont racetracks, and for more than two years in New Zealand.

When not working, Jenny enjoys hiking, camping, jogging, cycling, boogie boarding, and visiting friends.
