Jen Williams
DVM
Primary Clinic: Menlo Park
Dr. Williams was born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA. From a young age, she convinced her parents that she was going to be a doctor for horses. By age 10, she talked them into buying her first horse and so began a long and varied riding career. While western pleasure and rodeo dominated the start of her riding career, in college she branched out to dressage, eventing and hunter/jumpers.
Dr. Williams obtained her undergraduate degree in Animal Science with an equine emphasis in 2000 from UC Davis. She then attended two years of graduate school in immunology while performing lab research in equine arthritis. In 2006, Dr. Williams graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, after which she began practicing ambulatory medicine in the East Bay. She served as a staff veterinarian at Pioneer Equine Hospital for six years, prior to joining Steinbeck Peninsula Equine Clinics in 2021. Her expertise includes sport horse lameness and diagnostics, as well as primary and preventive care.
Dr. Williams spends her free time honing her riding skills with her focus now on hunters and dressage. When she is not riding, Dr. Williams can be found spending time outdoors.
