Ellen Rayl

Veterinary and Pharmacy Assistant

Primary Location: Menlo Park

Ellen Rayl was born in San Francisco and has lived in San Bruno ever since. Ellen began riding at the age of 4 and owned her own horse by the time she was 6 years old. After 12 years, her beloved mare sadly passed away, but Ellen had developed a driving passion for working with horses.

Ellen wanted to work at Steinbeck Peninsula Equine Clinics to broaden her knowledge of horses in a clinical setting. She’s currently studying for Associate Degrees in biology and geological science at community college, and plans to apply to a program to become a registered veterinary technician.

Ellen currently has two dogs, a cat, a bearded dragon and a Belgian draft horse named Big John — a gentle giant at 17 hands! When not working, she likes to ride her horse, overland in her truck, and do wildlife photography and filming.
