Veterinary Technician
Primary Location: Menlo Park
Abrial hails from Cornville, Arizona, just 15 minutes south of Sedona. She started riding horses when she was 9-years-old. Abrial began competing in gymkhanas, local jackpots and team sorting, then moved on to high school rodeo, showing in state-wide barrels and poles competitions. After high school, she “retired” her barrel horse, Diamond, after 9 years, and they now enjoy liberty work and trail riding together. Meanwhile, she’s grooming her younger horse, Cornflake, for training level Western dressage and also hopes to return to barrel racing with him.
Abrial earned her BS in Veterinary Science from the University of Arizona in Tucson. She wanted to work at Steinbeck Peninsula Equine Clinics to help provide compassionate health care for clients’s horses and for the opportunity to grow as a veterinary technician and learn more about veterinary medicine.
When not working, Abrial and her husband enjoy exploring new places by motorcycle, trying out new restaurants, traveling, paddle boarding and other outdoor activities like hiking with their dogs: a German Shepherd named Doc and Harley, a Rottweiler rescue.
