MacKenzie Adams

DVM, DACVS

Primary Clinic: Menlo Park

Dr. Mackenzie Adams is originally from Bainbridge Island, Washington. She grew up riding and showing Quarter Horses in both English and Western events. Her love of riding and showing as well as her challenges with medical issues in her own performance horses inspired her to become an equine veterinarian.

Mackenzie earned her BA in Biology at Whitman College and then graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2011. After an equine internship and large animal surgical residency, Mackenzie became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) in 2018. She has a special interest in colic surgery, orthopedic surgery, and lameness but truly enjoys all aspects of equine medicine and surgery.

When not out working, Mackenzie enjoys riding horses, gardening, and doing outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing, and cycling. She and her husband Sterling, as well as their six-month-old daughter Henley, live in Belmont.
