BSc, BVetMed, PGDipVCP, MRCVS

Primary Location: Salinas

ABVP Resident

Amber joins us from the United Kingdom, as an ABVP (American Board of Veterinary Practitioners) resident. She qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2018 with degrees in both Veterinary Medicine and Pathology. After working initially in mixed animal practice in Suffolk, England, treating a population consisting of native ponies, warmbloods, and thoroughbreds, she went on to complete an internship with Bristol University, gaining a postgraduate diploma in Veterinary Clinical Practice, before moving into a blended teaching and ambulatory role at the University of Cambridge. Dr. Perryman is particularly interested in surgical cases, dentistry, oncology, and teaching. She is enjoying the challenges of living and working in a new location, and with horses in Western disciplines. Alongside her residency, Dr. Perryman is working towards a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice.

In her spare time, Amber enjoys trail riding and cross country jumping, clay pigeon shooting, and training her Labradors, who also made the trip from the UK. She is also looking forward to adding an equine member to the family soon!
